Abstract

The Analysis of Rectangular Prestressed beam is carried out in this context, which is simply supported at the ends and centrally loaded . The analysis has been carried out using application of Finite Element Analysis in ANSYS 12.1.Material Properties are assigned accordingly for different elements based on their structural behaviour that is linear or non-linear for concrete and steel respectively. Various Physical parameters namely stress, deflection, etc are computed by altering shape and position of tendons in beams and the results obtained are compared and validated with hand calculations.
