Abstract |
|
The box girder is an efficient form of construction for bridges because it minimizes weight, while maximizing flexural stiffness, capacity and also box girder has high torsional stiffness and strength, compared with an equivalent member of open cross section. A simply supported single-span four-cell PSC box girder bridge with span to depth ratio of 25 is considered in the study. The analysis is carried out for rectangular and trapezoidal shape box Girder Bridge. The modeling and analysis is done using SAP 2000 software. The responses such as bending moment, shear force and deflection are compared. From the study it is observed that deflection, bending moment and shear force of rectangular box girder is more compare trapezoidal box girder bridge. |
