Abstract |
In the modernized world energy used in the engine are limited and decreasing gradually. This leads to search of an alternate fuel for diesel engine. Biodiesel is a promising alternate fuel. In this study a four stroke compression ignition diesel engine is run by the different simarouba biodiesel blends (B10, B20 & B30) on varying injection pressure (180, 200 & 220 bar) at a constant speed of 1500 rpm. The output performance parameters are BSFC (brake specific fuel consumption) and BTE (brake thermal efficiency). The experimental results show that the blend B20 at the IOP 200 bar gives the better results than B10 and B30. |
