Abstract

Present research devotes the optimization of process parameters of wire-cut electric discharge machining (WEDM) for sub-zero treated SKD11. WEDM are successfully employed for machining of hard to cut materials and also for intricate shape which are impossible by conventional ones. Pulse-on-time, pulse-off-time, servo voltage and wire feed are the input parameter while overcut is the response variable. Confirmation experiments represent good agreement with the predicted results.
