Abstract |

This paper attempts to delineate the nuances of chemistry laboratory curriculum in terms of its ability to impart chemistry concepts to the school students who opt the subject at senior secondary stage of schooling. The paper describes the structure of CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education, India) chemistry syllabus of senior secondary school level and explains the related concepts that could be imparted with the help of the laboratory exercises, if effectively undertaken. The paper contends that teachers need to put in sincere efforts in order to make the subject more interesting and comprehensible; only then they would be able to check the downward pace of the chemistry education in our school system. |
