Abstract |

In this paper a method for segmenting optic disk from retinal images is presented. In this work the retinal image is preprocessed and then converted to Hue, Saturation, Intensity image. The optic disk is then extracted using Image processing technique. For a patient with diabetic retinopathy exudates along with optic disc is extracted. The presence of exudates indicates diabetic retinopathy. According to the severity of the extracted exudates, the condition of the patient can be identified as mild, normal or severe. |
