Structural and Thermal Analysis of Blade using FEA

Abstract

In this thesis a turbine blade is designed and modeled in Creo 2.0 software. The turbine blades are designed using cooling holes. The turbine blade is designed with no holes, 6holes, and 8 holes. Thermal and Structural analysis is done to determine the heat transfer rates and strength of the blade. The present used material for blade is chromium steel. In this thesis, it is replaced with Inconel 625, N155 and Hoste alloy. The better material for blade is analyzed. CFD analysis is done to determine the pressure distribution, velocity, temperature distribution by applying the inlet velocities. CFD analysis, Thermal and Structural analysis is done in Ansys.
