Abstract |
Image reconstruction is an active research field, due to the increasing need for geometric 3D models in movie industry, games, and virtual environments and in medical fields. This paper presents an analysis of generating 3D structures from 2D CT-Scan Datasets using c# WPF (Window Presentation Function). It establishes all the radiological information in single structure. This is achieved by developing an implementation of Marching Cubes. There are two techniques have been chosen to produce the 3D models. The first technique is known as Volume Rendering and the second technique is known as the Marching Cubes Algorithm. 3D reconstruction techniques are voxel based techniques, which tries to reconstruct the 3D view based on the intensity value stored at each voxel location. We use open source software package. |
