Design and Implementation of College Portal

BVCOE Portal is a College web portal. The portal will act as an informational structure for students and respective department faculties of the college. The goal is, the portal will be acting as a medium of interaction between the students, faculties and the administration. The main advantage of the portal will be empowering and decreasing the latency that the college face while functioning through the manual process. The portal will help the administration in managing and arranging the standards in the maintenance of information regarding the faculties’ subject, class, students and examinations. The administrator handles all the operations related to the faculties’ and the faculties handles all the operations with respect to their curriculum matter like assigning assignments and managing student’s data for the particular subject. The actual purpose of designing the portal is to make the academic process accurate, up-to-date, speedup and efficient. The management or the department can have the expected information at its bay anytime and from anywhere. Generating and displaying the required reports as per the requirements of the faculties’ and students becomes much easier and information availability 24x7. The Portal will also maintain the details of the corporate companies that are providing placements to the College students through campus placements and also of those companies which are interested in providing future placements. The whole portal has been planned to be integrated through the PHP and databases technologies, the web content will be made responsive with the use of bootstrap to offer use of same code for desktop as well as mobile phones. The Portal also maintains the specifications of every departmental catalog available in the respective departments. The portal also provides placement related study materials, quiz sessions, online aptitude tests and feedback for the ongoing academic subjects.
