Abstract

Economic Environmental dispatch (EED) is an optimization task on fossil fired thermal power plant operation. A Multiobjective particle swarm optimization technique for the solution of environmental economical power dispatch problem is proposed in this paper. Here EED problem is formulated a nonlinear multiobjective function as objective function by considering both equality and inequality constraints. The multi-objective optimization in power systems treats economic and emission as conflicting objectives, to get an optimal solution some reasonable trade off among these objectives are required. So in this paper, the power dispatch is formulated into a two-objective optimization problem, which is to minimize the fuel cost as well as emission simultaneously.
