Strategic Evaluation of Skill Development Programmes among Academic Heads

Human Resources are the backbone of an organization. The present study shows about the importance of skill development training provided to the employees in educational field especially in nursery and primary schools to handle SUITS (Schools-University-Industry-Tie up- Scheme) -computer programmes provided by IECD (Institute for Entrepreneurship and Career development), Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli in the State of Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry 293 respondents responded to the structured questionnaire designed by researchers. Descriptive research method was adopted with purposive sampling method to conduct the survey for analyzing data and descriptive statistics based on the academic experience of the respondents in the study area. The major findings show that there are no significant associations and variations among the socio-economic profile and the evaluation of the training programme. This shows the proactive responses from the academic heads of the schools about SUITS scheme.
