This paper presents the revolutionary technique of learning called popularly as deep learning .Its much efficient as it operates with an ease not present in other learning techniques in artificial intelligence domain. This paper introduces the operating basics of deep learning followed by the inherent design principles. In deep networks the approach used is greedy as well as it is taken care that the possible solutions are not hidden in multiple layers of the deep network. This paper also discusses the challenges lying ahead in this field which are countered by progress in deep network architectures drawing motivation from concepts of linear factor models, auto encoders, deep generative models, deep belief networks, Boltzmann machines. |
