Abstract |
Thermo siphon is a method of passive heat exchange. It is based on natural convection, which circulates a fluid without the necessity of a mechanical pump. Thermo siphoning is used for circulation of liquids and volatile gases based on natural convection in heating and cooling applications such as heat pumps, water heaters, boilers and furnaces. In this paper experimental analysis results are compared by calculating buoyancy force generated by available temperature difference. Based on buoyancy force it is easy to calculate mass transfer rate and heat transfer rate. For see local effect of thermosyphon CFD analysis is carried out in ANSYS Fluent and compared these experimental, theoretical and CFD analysis results for different heat transfer rate. |
