Abstract |
This work focus on removal of arsenic from prepared synthetic sample using laterite soil as an adsorbent. Effects of pH, adsorbent dose and contact time on arsenic removal were found out. Laterite soil was found to be very effective for arsenic adsorption. It was found that 70 min contact time at pH 6.4 and temperature 32±1º C was sufficient for approximately 90.2% removal. Batch adsorption study were conducted by varying the contact time, adsorbent dosage & pH. |
