Abstract |

Power conversion topologies are very important in Power Electronics applications. Available input power is either AC or DC. This power need to be converted in to controlled AC or controlled DC for Power Electronics applications .This conversion of power is efficiently done by Matrix Converter. In this paper Modified Single phase to Single Phase Matrix Converter is presented. Which will convert single Phase AC in to controlled AC and Controlled DC. Proposed Modified Matrix Converter will be implemented using Microcontroller 89c51 and SCRs. Single circuit will convert Single Phase AC in to controlled AC and controlled DC. Following operating modes will be provided for output of 100 V @ 2 A 1. AC to AC control phase angle control mode 2. AC to AC control ON-OFF control mode 3. AC to DC control Positive converter. 4. AC to DC control Negative converter. |
