Abstract |

Highway maintenance is process of recovering standard conditions of highway. Highway conditions are highly responsible for road accidents. It is observed that frequency of road accident is high on poor highway condition. Road accident cause huge loss to economy, in terms of cost occurred in hospitalizations and property damage. Hence it is essential to decrease the probability of road accidents by recover the surface condition of highway. Some works of highway maintenance are listed as pothole patching, bridge repair, signage maintenance crack sealing maintenance of gravel roads and drainage management. This paper presented review of some literature on highway maintenance. |
