An application is said to be Real Time if it is required to complete it’s work & deliver it’s services on time. Real time applications usually runs on real time operating system ( RTOS ). It processes the data as soon as it comes without delay. Internet of things (IOT)devices are embedded systems which receive and transmit information over the network. Real time operating system is preferred option for such devices. This paper focuses on the features and architecture of RTOS. It gives comparative study of FreeRTOS and Windows CE which are the two among top real time operating systems used in embedded systems market. |
