A study was carried out along serpentine length of Ami River, which is located in Siddharth Nagar, Sant Kabirnagar and Gorakhpur District to assess the Surface water and Ground water pollution enclosed with basin of Ami River. Also selected a Control Point which is not affected from any types of water bodies (River, Pond, Lake, etc.). To compare IS 10500:2012 and Control Point data with Surface and Ground water data to analyses the pollution on Surface water and Ground water due to discharge of industrial and domestic effluent in Ami river. In which surface water sample was taken from mid-stream of Ami river and ground water sample was taken from both side of bank of Ami river as for as possible. Ground water sample was drawn from India Mark-II (recognized by State Govt.) and Shallow depth hand pump. Ground water was taken across 1 Kilometer from mid-stream to both side of bank of Ami River at five stations. The study was carried out during August 2015 to December 2015. The samples were taken of surface water and ground water including control point, subjected to test for Physico-chemical analysis. The physico-chemical result was showed that most of the water samples higher than the permissible limit. |
