Abstract |

The textile fibres are specially used for making a hybrid composites material, (whether it is natural or manmade fibres). The main purpose of introducing textile fibres is to enhance the mechanical properties of resultant composite materials for certain aspect, whereas the polymer matrix (Resin) is used for binding the fibre together. There are various methods to produce composite material as like hand lay-up, spray lay-up, etc. but all the method leads to poor mechanical properties so that the pultrusion process is suitable for producing hybrid composites. The commonly used textile fibre is glass, carbon, and aramid. The results of the investigation indicate that the aramid composites has superior strength in case of tensile and flexural strength, where in case of compressive strength it is slightly inferior to glass and composite. |
