Abstract

As the technology is improving day by day and most of the services used by the mankind are dependable on the internet, we need a datacenter which stores huge amount of data of multiple users and provides high performance, reliability, scalability, fault tolerant, flexibility and availability. Since the Data Center mainly shares the resources among multiple users there exist the problem of throughput degradation in small flows thus provides unfairness between the large flows and small flows which is termed as TCP Outcast Problem. TCP Outcast Problem is reduced by using different queuing mechanisms. In this paper Analysis of TCP Outcast Problem for Data Center is done for DropTail , RED and DCTCP using NS2 simulator, and the TCP Outcast Problem is mitigated providing the best results with DCTCP for all types of flows.
