Abstract

Soil stiffness play an important role in static as well as dynamic analysis of structure. Hence evaluation of the site specific effect of soil stiffness on structure becomes important to understand structure behavior. G+3 story building is analyzed considering soil base. Soil data of 6 areas of Ahmedabad are collected and classified the property of soil as hard, medium and soft soil. Layered soil is used. Layers formation are hard-soft-hard (H-S-H), soft-hard-soft (S-H-S), hard-medium-soft (H-M-S), soft-medium-hard (S-M-H). Roof displacement, bending moment and torsion of column of structure is compared. ABAQUS is used for analysis tool.
