Abstract

This paper presents experimental procedure on the unstiffened steel plate girder, girder with bearing stiffeners, girder with bearing and alternate intermediate stiffeners. The aim of this experimental test was to observe the behavior of the steel plate girder, to study modes of failure and in particularly determine the load capacities of steel plate girder. Accordingly three set of plate girder was prepared and subjected transverse midpoint and two point loading and with the help of dial gauges deflection in plate girder is observed.
