Abstract |

Cement concrete blocks as pavement material are useful, economical and visually attractive materials. There is great potential on using various alternative materials along with or as replacement in concrete paver blocks. In present study, a waste product- jute fiber is used as additive with cement concrete in paver blocks. An interlocking type paver block is designed and fabricated in which varying proportion of jute fiber is added. The effect of these fibers on strength and workability is studied. It is observed that fibers decreased workability with increase in compressive strength. |
