Abstract |

In this survey, the authors have discussed the common defect prediction methods utilized in the previous literatures and the way to judge defect prediction performance. Second, we have compared different defect prediction techniques based upon metrics, models, and algorithms. Third, we discussed numerous approaches for cross-project defect prediction that's an actively studied topic in recent years. We have them discuss the applications on defect prediction and alternative rising topics. Finally, we have determined problem areas of the software defect prediction which would lay the foundation for further research in the field. |
