The process of removing and providing air by natural or mechanical means from a building is known as ventilation. It provides clean and fresh air in building, to maintain a thermally comfortable work environment and to remove airborne contaminants in the air. Generally, exhaust fans are used in the industries for ventilation. As we know that the physical movement or motion of a rotating machine is normally referred to as vibration. This paper based on the analysis of the vibration of existing industrial exhaust fan, in order to identified the resonance area in the design to avoid failure of the component due to high resonance and simultaneously to decrease vibrations and noise. We carried out modal analysis and static analysis of the existing exhaust fan to study natural frequencies, mode shapes and displacement. |
