Abstract |
|
The short column in buildings are found to cause damage under earthquake events to buildings. Buildings with mezzanine floor lead to short column effect in it. In present study, buildings having mezzanine floors of different height is studied for its performance through nonlinear response history analysis. The building models are analysed in Seismostruct software. The models are analysed for both lateral and vertical directions of earthquake. The analysis results show significant increase in column forces in mezzanine floor. |
