Abstract |
|
Biofertilizers provide ecofriendly and more cost effective than chemical fertilizers. biofertilizers such as Azotobacter, Azospirillium and blue green algae have been in use a long time. It increases crop yielding by 25% to 30% replaces chemical nitrogen and phosphorus by 25% and stimulates plant growth. It can also provide protection against drought and some soil born diseases. Therefore, they are extremely advantageous in enriching soil fertility and fulfilling plant nutrient requirements by supplying through microorganisms and their byproducts. Hence biofertilizers do not contain any chemical which are harmful to the crop land. The results showed that application of biological fertilizer had a significant effect on plant height, leaf width, number of grains per ear and production rate is also increase. |
