Abstract |

We have presented the technique of single phase matrix converter, which can convert AC supply into the desirable frequency of AC supply. We applied the technique to produce 150Hz single phase AC supply from 50Hz AC Supply. The main advantage of this technique is that, it removes the voltage spikes by providing the free-wheeling strategy. This free-wheeling strategy will provide the current path for energy to flow during off-time. This will restrict the voltage spikes in output. |
