Abstract

This paper gives an overview of design and development of Air filled stacked microstrip antenna for WLAN application with improved bandwidth and gain. In this paper, the design of co-axial feed microstrip patch antenna for 5GHz ISM band is done. This proposed antenna is studied and analyzed using High Frequency Structure Stimulator (Ansoft HFSS) version 13. The stacked microstrip patch antenna has particular characteristics are as high gain and wide bandwidth which make it suitable for IEEE 802.11n WLAN communication standard.
