Abstract |
In order to improve the shelf life of the agricultural products, dryers have been developed and used. Since, Energy is one of the main concerns for the growing future of any nation, solar dryer for domestic as well as industrial usage could be an effective alternative of saving conventional energy. The use of solar dryers in the drying of agricultural products significantly reduces or eliminates product wastage, food poisoning and at the same time it can enhance the productivity of the farmers. Thus, there is a need to make the solar dryers more efficient and cheaper. The objective of this paper is the design & performance analysis of different types of solar dryer & its Prospect in drying various agricultural products on the basis of their application. We reviewed how the different techniques have applied to them, in order to improve their efficiency and reduce the drying times. |
