Abstract |
|
Silica fume is an ultrafine powder and collected as a by-product of silicon and ferrosilicon alloy production and it is used in a concrete as a very effective pozzolonic material. Used Foundary sand is an industrial waste which is used in casting industry as a molding material. Its reuse and dispose is such a big problem for the environment. In this research investigation silica fume is partially replaced with cement by 5% &10% step by step simultaneously. Used Foundary sand is partially replaced with fine aggregates (Sand) by 10% & 20% Step by step. This provides environment friendly use of both materials. |
