Abstract |
In the present study, the compressive strength of the concrete incorporating quartzite as a replacement material for coarse aggregate was investigated under tap water, acidic and sulfate exposure conditions. The concrete mix of grade M25 was designed in accordance with Indian standard code IS 10292-2009. The compressive strengths of the cubes were determined for curing period of 28, 60, 90 days. The experiment was done on triplicates. The percentage increase in compressive strength from 28 days to 60 days is constant in all the three exposure conditions. Performance of quartzite was good under different exposure conditions. |
