Detecting Car Window Glass Break and Sending a SMS to the Car Owner using GSM Technology

This paper deals with the design & development of an embedded system, which is being used to prevent / control the theft of a vehicle. The developed instrument is an embedded system based on GSM technology. Here, we have made an attempt to develop an instrument based on AT89S52 microcontroller and operated using GSM technology. The device is a simple and low cost vehicle theft control embedded system. The entire system is installed in car along with GSM Modem. We make a system that will detect the broken window, if someone strikes it hardly. It will generate vibrations and a circuit will sense it, which will immediately activate the GSM alert circuit and sends a sms to the car owner’s mobile. The owner’s mobile number is authenticate device. The Global System for Mobile communications (GSM) is the most popular and accepted standard for mobile phones in the world established in 1982 and it operates in 900 MHz frequency.
