Nowadays in the digital world almost every day information is sent over the internet for accessing the online services. The information being confidential needs to be send using proper techniques so that illegitimate user does not get access to it. In such a scenario, authentication of the user has become a daily job for the servers providing the online services. Static authentication is prone to various kinds of attacks hence dynamic authentication has been introduced using One Time Password which can be used for a single time. The paper provides information of the current authentication scenario, different authentication threats, different OTP techniques and a brief comparison between them. |
