In recent years speech communication in VoIP is becoming one of the challenging issue. Voice Activity Detector is a technique to determine voiced speech and silence parts in speech signal. In order to obtain better quality of speech and to reduce bandwidth complexity, VAD plays a major role in speech processing application like speech recognition, speech compression systems etc. In this paper, the methods of VAD is discussed in Time domain as well as frequency domain. |
