Watermarking is technique of inserting secret information on digital image enabling ownership, identity, Copyright protection. The main properties of a good image watermarking are imperceptibility, robustness and security. Image Processing is a field that continues to grow, with new applications being developed at an ever increasing rate. In this paper we have studied watermarking insertion in specific domain, i.e. spatial domain and transform domain. Spatial domain embedding of the watermark is an uncomplicated method. The transform domain (frequency domain) carries the embedding of the watermark by modulating the scale of the coefficients of the image in the desired transform domain, for illustration: discrete cosine transforms (DCT), discrete wavelet transforms (DWT), and singular value decomposition (SVD). The positives of a transform domain are its capacity. |
