Natural Convection flow has several technological applications of particular interest of heat dissipation from electronic circuits, refrigerators, heat exchangers, nuclear reactors fuel elements, dry cooling towers, and home ventilation etc. This study deals with the study of natural convection heat transfer in inclined smooth, medium roughened and highly roughened plate. The parameters varied during the experimentation are heat input (30.6 to 174.75 Watts) and the angle of inclination for plate (0°,15°,30°,45°,60°,75°,90°). It has been observed that the heat transfer coefficient is enhanced up to 6.63% from smooth to medium roughened, 3.87% from medium roughened to high roughened and 10.75% from smooth to high roughened plate at maximum heat input 174.75 watts and inclination 900. The heat transfer enhancement has been investigated experimentally. |
