Abstract

A hydrograph is a continuous plot of instantaneous discharge versus time. Hydrograph is a response of the catchment for given rain fall. Hydrograph shows time distribution of runoff. Hydrograph indicates flow of volume of water with respect to time. Hydrograph depends upon various factors like catchment factor and storm factor. Further catchment factor depends upon size of catchment, shape of catchment, slope of catchment and drainage density of catchment. Storm factor depends upon intensity of rain, duration of rain and direction of rain. This paper presents study of flood hydrograph determination.
