Abstract |
For improving clayey soil of intermediate compressibility industrial waste can be used. The Gypsum (CaSO2.2H2O) is the byproduct generated as waste during manufacture of ammonium phosphate fertilizer, phosphoric acid and hydraulic acid. The experiment was conducted with different percentages of gypsum 2%, 4%, 6% and 8% is used to stabilize the clayey soil. Tests conducted to evaluate the engineering properties of clayey soil are Liquid Limit, Plastic Limit, Free Swell Index, Optimum Moisture Content, Maximum Dry Density and California Bearing Ratio. |
