Abstract |
|
Steel-Concrete composite construction means steel section encased in concrete for columns & the concrete slab or profiled deck slab is connected to the steel beam with the help of mechanical shear connectors so that they act as a single unit. The research focuses on experimental investigation and analysis on the shear behavior of innovative steel-concrete composite beam which uses square flange and embossed steel plate as a shear connection element. The behavior of several types of shear connections in composite beam such as Studs, Bolts, T connector is studied from the experimental works in which the shear behavior is characterized by the push out test. There are three different types shear connectors like stud, square flange and embossed plate are used in the specimen. The test (push out test) is conduct to all the three specimen. Then the behavior of shear connectors are characterized. |
