Abstract |

An underlying promise made while giving admission to the students in the professional courses is that the course would meet the dual objective of Education. First, the student would get expertise in the chosen domain; may it be engineering or business Management. Secondly, the experts would nurture the employability skills within them to meet the expectations of the corporate sectors. The students after completion of their graduation expect to find themselves in respectable positions with a good annual package. The changing corporate structure with highly competitive set up has today forced the Y generation to equip itself appropriately not only to meet their own expectations but also to make them fit with the corporate world. The education institutes assure them a promising result with placement which makes the initial promise more challenging. This paper intends to study the necessity of communication proficiency and the techniques which can be adopted by the institutes to nurture the Employability skills of the students. The study is mainly focused on the Management students. |
