Abstract

In this paper, we are simulating a Photovoltaic (PV) system which is able to track the maximum power in case of changing irradiation and temperature with time. The maximum power point (MPP) by incremental conductance method is obtained by determining the variation direction of the terminal voltage for PV modules by measuring and comparing the incremental conductance and instantaneous conductance of PV modules by simulating the model in MATLAB. Incremental–conductance algorithm is widely employed due to easy implementation and high tracking accuracy and it is more suitable for practical operating conditions due to a wider operating range.
