Abstract

Vapour absorption systems use waste heat and low grade energy for running the pump and circulating working fluid (solution) in the system again and again. As the working fluid is a mixture of refrigerant (water) and absorber (lithium bromide), their analysis becomes tedious as enthalpy becomes a function of temperature as well as concentration. To simplify this task the authors decided to use Artificial Neural Network Modeling approach. With ANN enthalpy values as a function of two input parameters is calculated via neuron training and thus COP for double stage VAR system can be found.
