Abstract

Students, researchers, system engineers and operators shows significant interest in the appearance of WiMAX because of wide used in wireless communications. Now-a-day, tremendously increased broadband services so that the WiMAX has been tipped to bring a revolution in the field. The WiMAX can also be considered to be the main technology in the implementation of other networks like wireless sensor networks. To make the standard flexible and adaptable to different frequency ranges, IEEE 802.16e PHY layer modified by WiMAX forum. The PHY layer specifies some mandatory features and some optional features to be implemented to provide a reliable end-to-end link. This paper shows WiMAX system model, WiMAX Physical layer and OFDM technique.
