Security of a software product essentially denotes its trust. Security is one of the dynamic characteristics of software, which can be quantitatively measured by analyzing the failure data. Earlier, Security estimation used to be an afterthought, but now-a-days it is widely accepted to be an essential part of Software Development Life Cycle. Most of the software security failures happen due to poor design quality. Fault is taken as a key factor to security estimation at early stage of software development life cycle. In this context, we have proposed a framework for estimates the security at the design phase fault perspective of software development life cycle. This framework measures and minimizes the fault of software design at the early stage of software development life cycle leading to a secure end product. |
