Abstract |

The demand of multipurpose and multifunctional antennas is rapidly increasing. Therefore, the need of reconfigurability which can alter the characteristics of antenna without changing its physical features to adapt the specifications of current scenario is growing day by day. A simple compact sized U-E slot frequency reconfigurable multiband antenna with 5 resonant frequencies is presented. The proposed antenna is designed on FR-04 substrate with thickness 1.5mm; dielectric constant 4.4 and fed by microstrip feed line. The PIN Diode is used to make antenna reconfigurable which has ability of switching the resonant frequencies from 5.4GHz and 7.67GHz to 1.04GHz, 2.00GHz and 5.39GHz. The presented antenna operates in L, S and C bands. |
