Abstract

The scope of current work is to investigate seismic performance of different inclined structural systems which include single core inclined structure as Model - 1, Single core inclined structure with diagrid as Model - 2, and post-tensioned columns with single core inclined structure with diagrid as Model - 3 which are subjected high seismic zone five with medium soil condition. The structure has an overhang of 10 meters at roof level and inclination of 12 degree from base. Static and Dynamic (Response Spectra Analysis) is carried out using finite element software STAAD Pro V8i. Beam and columns are modeled as two nodded frame elements with six degree of freedom at each node. Core is modeled using shell element. Seismic performance is studied with respect to different parameters like bending moment, displacement etc. This will be helpful for reasonable estimate of forces and to predict behaviour of different inclined structural system. Also a pre-chambered core is modeled with a total bend to 30 mm to 0 mm from top to fourth floor for model 1 and the effect is studied for displacement of its core nodes N when subjected to structures own dead load.
