This research study describes the relationship between Frame supplied and vehicle assembly under Just-in- sequence (JIS). The paper refers to a case in commercial vehicle build and the main target is to identify and analyze the potential problems between both parts and explain how they work together also how to improve operational efficiency. Methodology of this paper is based on data collection method and value stream mapping, to explain how this part of the supply chain works, the relationships along the chain and the difficulties of sequencing. Results of this research identify and analyses the potential problems between both parts and relates how a mistake from one of them can affect the other one. Analysis in this study has highlighted the difficulties that arise within the industry by introducing new models of vehicles in production. Limitations of this research can only be related to the Daimler India commercial vehicles, for truck manufacturer that work under a JIS context and it identifies and analyses the problems, solutions and measures for managing them. |
