Abstract |

Permanent magnet Brushless DC (BLDC) motors are used for the many parts in robotics, automobile etc. In this paper, Xilinx system generator blocks are used for Electronic Commutation of BLDC motor. BLDC motor commutation technique relies upon three inbuilt hall sensors. Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) based control drive for BLDC motors utilizing digital pulse width modulation (PWM) is used for speed controller. BLDC motor commutation technique depends on the rotor position and is detected by three inbuilt Hall Effect sensors. Closed loop speed control is achieved by utilizing FPGA. Commutation sequence and PI controller is developed using Xilinx Integrated Software Environment (ISE) test system and co-simulated in MATLAB/Simulink. The execution of FPGA based control drive of BLDC engine may be investigated through MATLAB/Simulink. |
