Design Modification & Shape Optimization of Automobile Brake Lever

Abstract

It has always been the subject of interest and research work to find out most efficient method to minimize the fatigue failure and stress loss of any surface and any mechanism. For this research work the design modification and static structural analysis are starts, then still going on to optimize its shape so that loss will be minimum. In this project, a research has been done on the design modification of static structural brake lever and to optimize its shape. Brake lever is important equipment used for stopping while they are riding any vehicle or machine component in which is stresses are form due to engage or disengage of lever system, and because of this braking system having the stress values is to be determine and also minimize. The model of brake lever is created by Creo parametric system, and then by using ANSYS system to calculate the stress developed in that model and also optimize the shape of hyper-mesh software system. The validation of result in good as compare literature N. Andrews which is also obtained the value of stress and total deformation.
